I am very pleased we came home yesterday as the
temperature over the entire State soared to 40+ degrees . . . even at the
normally mild coast! And yet Phil and
Mel apparently rode home in the heat AND set some new records on the back
Alexander Road . . . you can no doubt read all about it on Bike Me by now!
Unfortunately Mel's bike was playing up, but she managed to get it to the dealer in Ringwood for some attention - it was very fortunate the problem did not occur somewhere in the middle of nowhere.
Please let me know if anyone would like to write something and I will post it here - otherwise I might make something up like most of the rest of this blog!
And on that subject, I asked Karen to compose some missives - like “Stories from the front: What it’s like to be a girl racer leading the pack!” or "The afterglow: How I made it with ten blokes all over the mountains!" I have not heard anything yet!!
